Happy Birthday Kristi Marie

Wishing my sister Kristi Marie a be-lated
Happy 29th Birthday!
The best present our family ever received at Christmas.
 Born on Christmas Eve 1982.
You are a beautiful daughter, sister, wife, and mother and friend.  We are all so blessed to have you in our lives!  Dance like no one is watching sister!  I know you will and I love you for it!

Christmas 2011

We spent a quiet all you can eat  Christmas with mom and Don. Grandma and Gordon came over to visit and eat Christmas dinner.  We all then went to the movies.  I missed my sisters and their growing families.  I would say I missed the snow but NOT!  It was in the 40's all the time we were in Iowa.  No complaining here!  Merry Christmas Everyone.

Christmas Eve at the Farm

We attended Christmas Eve services with Grandma Henrichsen this year in Cushing, Iowa.   Dad, Vickie, Uncle Reed and Aunt Debbie were also there.  This church holds many happy holiday memories for me.  I grew up watching my cousins performing in the Christmas program every year. We'd rush in late in the blustery winter air and end up in the balcony because the church was always packed.  Brenda and I would be searching for our Aunts, Uncles, and cousins as we settled into the pew waving our greetings.  After the service St. John's gave out candy bags to all the kids.  They still do to this day. Minus the peanuts!  Our candy bag was usually ambushed by dad in the car where he would steal something chocolately out of our bags! The excitement of opening presents and playing with our cousins kept the atomosphere happy!  And don't forget the Santa sightings we saw on the drive out to the farm! I won't ramble on much longer but I must mention that this is the church that I was baptised in and my Grandpa Henrichsen, bless him, was the longest living confirmed member until he passed away this past July.   If you look real close you will see that the pew Grandma had us sit in is by the widow in memory of Lucia Henrichsen.  She would have been Grandpa's grandmother making her my Great, Great Grandmother, and Celine and Monte's Great, Great, Great Grandmother!  Wow!  I love it!
We all went back to Grandma's for soup and sandwiches.  We had a great time visiting and laughing.  Wishing you all a blessed Holiday Season this year.

Thanksgiving

Lane and Shannon hosted a magnificent Thanksgiving this year at their home in Devils Lake. There were about 25 of us in total! It was a houseful and we had a nice time.  We are so very grateful for our family.  The kids always enjoy the time they get to spend with the cousins.
I will post more Thanksgiving and Christmas pics later this week.  I am happy I can up load photos again!

October Events

In October the kids and I went back to Iowa to celebrate Grandma Henrichsen's Birthday.  The day began with my picking up my Grandma Wilde, driving down to Correctionville, and having lunch with both Grandma Wilde and Grandma Henrichsen.  How many gals my age are able to lunch with both of their lovely Grandmas?  It was sweet.  Both of these women have taught me a lot in their own unique way.  I am greatful to have them as not only a part of my life but as a part of my childrens life too.  God Bless Grandmas!
I also stopped by to visit my God Mother Barb Mueller.  She was in the process of packing and moving to Wisconsin to be closer to her daughter.  She too has been a lovely influence in my life.  I wish her the best in her home.
The evening ended with me picking up the kids and going back down to C'Ville to have a Birthday cook out with Dad, Vickie, Uncle Tom, Aunt Wyma, and Cousin Shawn.  I had a very busy but blessed day.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

The kids and I stopped and helped Kristi and the kids decorate pumpkins for Halloween.  Georgia Marie is not a big fan of having her photo taken!

Azure Family

Tim and I met up with his parents and sister Lynette in Fargo this past November.  Chib was visiting the VA hospital.  He and Laura are still at home in  Devils Lake, ND.  Tim's sisters are taking turns staying in the home to help look after Chib. Tim helped out over Thanksgiving.    God Bless Chib.  He has lung cancer and is taking it one day at time.  He still has his sense of humor at age 92!

Chib and Taylor Thanksgiving weekend.  (Taylor is Pete's oldest boy. Some of you will remember him best as the ringbear in our wedding!)
