Proud Daddy

We spent the day in Webster, SD at a wrestling match with about 200 boys ages 4-14 wrestling! Can you say energy! It was right up MONTE'S alley. He did good considering he's only had 2 practices. He won 2 matches and lost 1. He did win his last match with a pin! Boy was he ever happy when he came up from that one! Way to go Goo!

Winter Show

We went to the Winter Show tonight for some family entertainment! The kids enjoyed live music and then a great Magic show. Here are Celine and Veda's very cool face art done by a gal in one of the booths. Monte had his done too but he fell asleep in the car on the way home and is in bed already! We had a good time socializing.

OBAMA Celebration!

The kids and I decorated cupcakes to celebrate the Inauguration of President Obama! We celebrated with a Mexican dinnner, sparkling juice, and of course the cupcakes! The kids were excited and remembered seeing him in Sioux Falls this spring. Tim & Celine actually shook hands with him!

Brrrrr, it's been cold! Where ever your are, you might have seen us in the news for breaking records! Aberdeen, SD, about 68 miles to the west, had a sunrise low of -40 on Thursday, January 15th, 2009. It was remarkable cause the weather service came on the tube and made it official...all iIknow is you have to have a coosey on your beer in the garage so the Bud don't freeze...

Jan. 10

The Azure's were not snowed in for the first time in many weekends. Celine was supposed to play in a Basketball tournament in Watertown this weekend but due to miscommunication the team was not on the list and so we did not go. Celine and I took a girls day and went shopping in Fargo. The roads were great and Fargo was crazy busy... so much for a poor economy around here. The mall was packed like Christmas. We had a really fun day. Meanwhile Tim and Monte went fishing with a friend on Pickeral Lake. They brought home a nice pan of crappie and northeran. They caught some walleye but had to throw them back...too small. Better luck next time.

Ducktail Monte & the PJ's

Monte absoulutely LOVES the two pairs of PJ's Sheila and Wendell gave him for Christmas. He wears them all of the time. Thanks Sheila and Wendell. And his dad gave him the "Ducktail" he wasn't too sure about that but I did get a few pics. After awhile he came out of the bathroom looking like Eddie Munster!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Happy New Year to our families and friends! We celebrated at home with our neighbors and friends! The kids had a great time staying up late and making a lot of noise at midnight! The adults visited, ate too much! Oh, the food was yummy! And actually played cards starting at midnight! Yea, we had a good time! On that note we wish you all a fabulous New Year!
