Ladies and Gentleman Start Your Turtles!

Celine, Monte, and a friend were busy finding turtles for racing this 4th of July! They found 6 and a couple of them seem quite fast! We will be having turtle races and minnow races this 4th of July! The turtles will then be sent free! God Bless America! That Celine! We should call her "Birdie" She caught this baby "Killdeer" at Turtle Crossing while hunting for turtles! The little fellow was soooo cute in a cartoonish sort of way! I made her return him to nature!

Bureau of Indian Education Conference in Phoenix

Yea, I know Phoenix in June!?? I spent last week in Phoenix learning a lot of useful information that I will apply this coming school year. I am stepping out of the classroom and will become the 4-8 Reading Coach. I am looking forward to a new challenge and working with a dedicated staff to create confident readers. :) That's why this is all getting posted so late. We came back from Sioux City and I was re-packing for Phoenix. :) This is me with Bobbie and Jen and the other picture is me along with Lacey, Bobbie, and Kris at the Diamondsback Baseball game! Teachers sure do know how to have fun! :)

Happy Fathers Day Dad!

The kids and I spent Saturday evening at dad's. We helped him plant his new "pig planter" and ate the best pizza in the midwest! Happy Father's Day Dad! We love you. :)

Mom and I took the kids to Lemars, IA for Ice Cream Days... Lemars is the home of WELLS BLUE BUNNY ICE CREAM! We went to the parade and visited the arts in the park. Afterwards we stopped to visit Grandma Wilde. Pretty cool face paintings huh?

Monte couldn't get over how tiny her feet were and just how precious she is. We stopped in Sioux Falls on our way down to Sioux City for the Fathers Day weekend. We spent a couple of hours visiting Kristi and Georgia. They are doing very well. :)

The LIFE!

Andrew Monte and Austin

Celine and CeceilaSunday we enjoyed more nice weather. Tubing and swimming were on the agenda.

Friends+Family+Bonfire=Fun!

Swimming at dusk.
We had the Andersons and Neilands over for a bonfire Saturday night. June is a beautiful month up here in the Dakotas. We have to take advantage of every lush moment. The kids had fun swimming, roasting hotdogs & marshmellows and of course they said they found a skunk that they were trying to catch. I think that they make so much noise they scare off every little creature in the area. We grown ups had a grand time visiting, laughing, and enjoying the stars. We can't wait to do it again soon!

Outdoor adventures!

Welcome Little Miss. Georgia Marie Point

Kristi gave birth to Georgia Marie on May 30th. She was due June 26th! Both mom and baby are home and doing great. Georgia weighed in at 5lbs. 13 oz. and 18 1/2 inches! She had to stay in the hospital for a week but as I mentioned they are both home and we are planning on going to visit them today and see her for ourselves! I can't wait to hold the baby girl!

Cousisn Fun!

Pete and Marilyn's boys are visiting us for a couple of weeks and the fun has begun! They are 4-wheeling, riding bikes, fishing, catching frogs, shooting the BB gun, swimming, and all of the above. The best part is hearing the laughter. You know the Azure's they each have something to say and chances are it's funny! It is great to have the boys here because it's like the play-date that never ends!

Monte's Baseball game.

Well, when I told him to move over to play 2nd base properly he yelled back, " Mom, I'm ON second base!" Yea, well he was on it all right! He was a very social 2nd baseman. Talking to all the runners and his fielders. Imangine that! Everyone had fun and that's what it's all about at this age. :)

Fort Sisseton; Brrrr, Big Rock, Friends, and Mr. Abraham Lincoln

The kids and I spent a cool afternoon at Fort Sisseton Sunday. Their buddies the Nielands hung out with them and they kept warm running around, playing, exploring, and shooting their pop guns!
