The Cousins at Buffalo Lake

The Cousins are here!

Cousins Austin (13) and Andrew (12) are visiting from Grand Forks this week. Pete and Marilyn's boys. They all have a blast just hanging out and goofing around! The lake keeps them busy and tires them out too! There is a lot of AZURE ENERGY going on up here let me tell you! They are a lot of fun to listen to when they are sitting at the table eating! What one doesn't think of the others will. Imagine that. We are enjoying every minute!

Father's Day in Devils Lake

We spent Father's Day out at Woodlake/Devils Lake, ND. Tim's sister LeAnn has a cozy little cottage where we all crash. The kids get to hang out with their cousins Jaylynn (10) and Katie (6), and Noah (3) tags along. They belong to Tim's brother Lane and his wife Shannon.
We had a family/friend cookout Saturday night. Tim's brothers were all in town so the kids got to see and be teased by their Uncle's Scott "Gus", Uncle Pete, and Uncle Lane. Bill and Gayle joined us as did Tim's lifelong friend Doug Miller. We had a good time visiting and catching up with everyone!

BABY BRADY

Here he is Brady James McNaughton. He arrived a month early on May 26th 9:15 pm California time. He weighed 4lbs. 14 ounces and was 19" long! We could be happier for Brenda and Gene and of course his Big brother Blake. We also can't believe that we now have 3 birthdays at the end of May. Brady May 26th, Monte May 28th, and Georgia May 30th! Pretty Special. Mom made it out there for his arrival, Kristi is flying home today after being out there this week, Celine will go out in July to visit and help and I will be out the end of July to meet my sweet little nephew! Look at those Henrichsen lips and that adorable dimple!

Shooting Sports Begin

This summer the kids are doing shooting sports through 4-H. Once a week we go and shoot a round. (25 shots) Monte and his buddie Parker were very excited to be shooting at the range. Monte actually hit his first 2 birds and ended up with a total of 7/25. He was happier than happy shooting a 4-10. Celine shot 3/19 using a 28 gauge. Her shoulder started hurting but she enjoyed it. Safety first! I'm just getting them ready for the 2010 Henrichsen Reunion! tee hee!

Boys and Lawnmowing!

This year Monte is our official "Lawn mower" Yep, he can start it ("watch me mom")and mow like crazy! But I do have to remind him WHERE we need to mow. We have about an acre and 1/2 to mow the rest we leave.... that is where he always wants to mow! I also had to give hime the option of mowing a pattern like a square, back and forth, or diagonal! He was just mowing random strips of grass when he started! :) Boy he does keep things interesting. Here he is with his buddies. They went from mowing, to jumping in the lake, to bikes, and started all over again. Oh, yea, with a few popscicle breaks in between! We are enjoying our summer hope you all are too.

Monte's Baseball Team Picture

The 8 year olds traveled to Ligerwood, ND for a baseball tournament this past Monday. The sun was shining and the boys won all 3 games. They played Ambercombie, Ligerwood, and Hankison. They had a blast. Monte did pretty good. It was hillarious to watch him run out to his assigned position. He would run and slide into pitchers position or shortstop. They just make you laugh at this age!

Celine's Dance Recital

Celine completed her 4th year of dance this year! We traveled and she performed in Ellendale, ND. (dance capital of the world!) The Britton Dance girls (older) travel there to help make a complete show/recital and in return the Ellendale girls travel to Britton to make our recital. It is a great opportunity for the girls to perform and make and meet new friends. The girls did a fantastic job! Celine is growing up and getting prettier every day as you can see below in the pictures.
