Neighbors who get stuck together get out together!

Neighbor Scott blowing more snow to help get the truck unstuck. Neighbors who literally get stuck together! This is what we pulled up too. Notice the sky is lighter than up above. Both of those cars and this truck ended up stuck!
Tim in his very helpful toy on Saturday.

I took this a couple of weeks ago in the early morning. You really had to be there to love it.

You have to stay happy or you'll go crazy!

Where do I begin. I don't want to drive you all crazy with my whining about the weather but I have to document this evening/weekend! Let me back up to Saturday morning when we woke up to snow falling wet and heavy. To make a long Saturday short Tim managed to get the car, suburban, and skidsteer all stuck in one day. Needless to say it was complete whiteout conditions along with snow and wind. I was supposed to be traveling to Sioux Falls so I could catch a plane Sunday morning to Atlanta for work. Tim and the kids had plans to attend Monster Truck Jam in Fargo with a few other families. We never made it to Highway 10 let alone I-29. It was a frustrating day. Today Sisseton managed to pull off a full day of school while Tiospa Zina canceled. The highway is 100% ice covered and our back roads are clogged in. It doesn't help when the guys clean them and the wind keeps blowing. Anyway on to tonight. Like I said, Tim made it in with the kids this am. He came to get me around 12:30 so I could go meet with a gal who is here to visit our school. I was happy as a peach to be getting out of the house. Had my meeting, went to both Celine and Monte's conferences, and we were on our merry way home. The gravel had a path left over from being blown open this a.m. by two neighbors. Thank goodness. But as we approached "Turtle Crossing" we could see a car appearing not to move, no wait, two cars, hold on, there's a truck too! My oh, my what the heck is happening on our road? Woohoo! Look up there is a tractor barreling down our lane! Scott the dad had been in the lead, followed by his daughter. He became stuck. He has to walk home a little over a mile in below zero temps. The Azure's come up just at the time that he is coming down the lane with his tractor. His daughter is behind his car and our other full time neighbor George is behind Amber. We are the final vehicle to complete the Buffalo Lake Traffic Jam! It was a sight to see. Scott begins blowing snow like crazy! Then the chinese fire drill begins. Tim gets into Scott's car to move it. George get's into Amber's car, and Amber get's into George's truck. I of course took command of the suburban! Thank goodness the kids had subway sandwiches aboard. An hour later we made it home. I have to say it was somewhat comical even though we were a little crabby when we finally arrived home. Scott's car gets out then George gets stuck in Amber's car, he gets out then Amber get's George's truck stuck. Tim came and got that out. Then everyone is back in there vehicles with Tim driving George's truck, George driving Scott's car. Half way home George gets stuck in Scott's car..... it was maddening! I will stop here. Like I say I am laughing as I type. I have to or I'll cry.!! Not really! We are all home safe and sound! We are lucky to have such great neighbors. And I do so appreciate what my husband can do. Tonight the temperature is dropping to -30's. BRrrr....
Highs in the +20's maybe low +30's towards the end of the week. We sure could use a little warmth to keep our spirits up!
