Spring at the Lake
We truly enjoyed the calm warm weather we had over the past weekend. Celine eating dinner on the deck.
Monte in his dad's waders.... putting the dock in??? Go Goo!
Goofy Goo! He played in these for about 2 hours. Even had to go down to the slew and try them in there! "feel it mom, I'm dry in the inside." "Really"

Celine down my the lake....note the dry grass shows how high the water was a week ago. It is amazing to see how high the lake is. Notice no wind! Ya gotta love that!

Third Cousin in Portland, Oregon>
I am fortunate to be able to travel with my new position of "Reading Coach" at Tiospa Zina. This past week I was in Portland, Oregon for work and I got in touch with my mom's side of the family. This is my 3rd cousin T.R. Potts. He would be my mom's cousin. Grandma Wilde's sister's boy. He took me to see Grandma's sister Joyce who would be my Great Aunt. It was great to see her and talk about a memories we shared from way back. I truly enjoyed meeting and visiting with T.R. and I hope to get to see him again someday. Thanks T.R. :)
Celine debuts in Oral Interpetation
Celine and 4 other classmates represented Sisseton in Milbank at her first Oral Interpetation event. Students read/compete against other students from the surrounding area. The categories are; Poetry, Drama, and Comedy. Celine's piece was a Drama and she received a "Superior" ribbon. All the girls placed and had a great time participating. We were very proud of her..... :)
Polish Sausage Time
The second weekend in March we all traveled down to Sioux City to make homemade Polish Sausage with my dad and Vickie. It was a long process but we managed to create a lot of great memories and at the same time make some delicious Polish Sausage. My dad and Vickie sure do have it all down pat. We appreciated all the prep work they did to get ready for us. The kids were very involved and happy to be a part of the process. And we must say it is some of the best Polish Sausage we've ever tasted!
